28 April 2016 5:00 pm - 28 April 2016 7:30 pm

mima and Investing in People and Culture (IPC) invite you all to join us for viewings and discussions at our monthly film night.

This month we watch Hyenes, a film by Director Djibril Diop Mambéty.

Hyenes tells the story of an aging, wealthy woman who revisits her home village of Colobane to find it has fallen on hard economic times. The woman makes a proposal to help the town financially on one condition. The director adapts a timeless story of human greed into a satire of Africa today.

Screenings are followed by informal conversations about some of the issues raised in the film.

Feel free to bring snacks to share.

IPC is a Middlesbrough-based charity supporting vulnerable migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in the Middlesbrough area. It offers issue-based community development and activities that elevate mental health and ensure social inclusion for new and emerging communities.
