Artsmark & Arts Award

Arts Award

Arts Award is a national portfolio-based qualification for children and young people up to age 25 at five levels: Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold. On each level, they develop arts, leadership and communication skills supported by a trained Arts Award adviser.

If you work with children or young people up to age 25 in any setting (arts organisations, youth centres, schools and more), why not start delivering Arts Award?

There are three stages at which you can be trained to become an Arts Award adviser: Discover & Explore, Bronze and Silver, and Gold.

MIMA is an Arts Award supporter organisation with trained Arts Award advisers. MIMA can support you and your young people to gain an Arts Award qualification.

Artsmark

Artsmark is awarded by Arts Council England, and provides a clear framework for teachers and education professionals to plan, develop and evaluate their arts and cultural provision.

Artsmark is designed by schools, for schools, to align with School Improvement plans and support core EBACC and STEAM priorities, giving the curriculum breadth and balance.

If you would like your school to become Artsmark registered the process is light on paperwork and flexible to each individual setting you can find out more by visiting artsmark.org.uk

Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA) is an Artsmark partner, we can support you on your Artsmark journey and inspire your young people and staff to create, experience and participate in arts and culture.
